Biomed Live Cultures “For Daily Digestive Support”
Biomed Live Cultures “For Daily Digestive Support” combines the goodness of Live Cultures, Curcuminoids and the active constituents in Ginger to help support digestive health.
Biomed Live Cultures “For Daily Digestive Support” contains an impressive 2 Billion Colony Forming units (CFU) of Bacillus coagulans MTCC 5856 (LactoSpore®).
LactoSpore® is unique because of its spore-forming nature which allows it to maintain functionality throughout manufacturing, preparation and storage. It’s this spore-forming ability that enables LactoSpore® to survive stomach acids and digestive enzymes when in the body. The Spores are Heat-Stable, so can be stored at room temperature without losing any effectiveness or potency.
The high potency of Curcuminoids standardised at 95% Curcumins in the Curcumin C3 Complex® together with the potency of Gingerols and Shogaols in the Ginger Root Extract further complement the effectiveness of this product.

We’re extremely proud of our “For Daily Digestive Support” Live Cultures supplement and would like you to know more about the active ingredients which we’ve travelled far and wide to source. Let’s start with our Live Cultures.
LactoSpore® is a live culture preparation containing the lactic acid forming microorganism (often called a “probiotic”) Bacillus coagulans MTCC 5856 or B. coagulans for short. Bacillus coagulans are rod shaped, gram positive, endospore-forming bacteria that grow optimally at 37°C and at a pH in the range of 5.5-6.2 (slightly acidic). Bacillus coagulans was originally known in literature as Lactobacillus sporogenes and both of these terms are still used in literature interchangeably.
Due to the spore-forming nature of LactoSpore®, it is resistant to most chemical and physical conditions (e.g. acid and heat) and therefore is able to survive manufacturing, shipping and storage with no loss of viable count. Furthermore, LactoSpore® is room temperature stable and does not require refrigeration conditions.
Curcumin C3 Complex®
Curcumin C3 Complex® is the Number 1 Curcumin brand evaluated clinically across the globe. Curcumin C3 Complex® enjoys the special status of being the “Most Extensively Studied and Clinically Documented” with more than 80 research papers including 45+ clinical studies that have been published in peer-reviewed journals and counting.
Curcumin C3 Complex® is obtained from the dried rhizomes of Curcuma longa (Turmeric) and standardised for minimum 95% Curcuminoids.
Turmeric, derives its name from the Latin term terra merita, meaning ‘meritorious earth’, referring to the colour of ground turmeric, which resembles a mineral pigment. In many languages, turmeric is named simply as ‘yellow root’.
Much of the credit for the popularity of turmeric goes to the ancient texts of Ayurveda written almost 2500 years ago, describing the benefits of turmeric.
However, it is modern science which has made it possible for millions to get the health benefits from turmeric’s unique compounds.
The name C3 Complex® has reference to its three main chemical compounds – Curcumin, Demethoxycurcumin (DMC) and Bisdemethoxycurcumin (BDMC) – collectively known as “Curcuminoids”.
Demethoxycurcumin (DMC) and Bisdemethoxycurcumin (BDMC) stabilize Curcumin, and studies of turmeric derivatives noted that these two compounds are more efficient to protect from oxidative stress than curcumin alone.
Curcumin C3 Complex is more soluble because of Bisdemethoxycurcumin, therefore, Curcumin C3 Complex is more absorbable in the gastrointestinal tract and provides more benefits than Curcumin alone.
- Curcumin C3 Complex® was awarded a “Scientific Achievement Award” from Nutrition Business Journal. The NBJ Business Achievement Awards recognise companies for their distinguished achievements in various business categories within the natural products industry.
- Curcumin C3 Complex® was awarded with Functional Ingredients Editor’s Choice Award, in the Marketing Category.
The Zingiber officinale is the Latin name for the common Ginger Plant. The word “Zingiber” comes from the Sanskrit language, “Zing” meaning horn and “bera’ meaning body, used to describe the structure and flavour of the Ginger root.
Ginger is from the Zingiberaceae, or Ginger family, also in this group are Turmeric and Cardamom. Ginger is a herbaceous, slow growing plant native to India, South Asia.
The active ingredients and essential oils within Ginger are called Gingerols and Shogaols. It is these active constituents in Ginger that help support digestive health.
