Baked Falafel Burgers

By Divya Sharma | June 11th, 2019 | Dinner, Lunch, Recipes, Snack

These tasty oven–baked falafel are so crispy that they taste just like the fried stuff without all the added calories. They also freeze well, so they’re a fantastic protein-rich option to keep on hand for future salads and pita sandwiches.

INGREDIENTS

  • 400g can chickpea, rinsed and drained
  • 1 small red onion, roughly chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, chopped
  • handful of coriander
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 4 tbsp plain flour
  • 2 tbsp sunflower oil

RECIPE

  1. Preheat the oven to 190c
  2. Place all the ingredients in the food processor and blend until fairly smooth
  3. Shape into 6 falafels and sprinkle with sesame seeds
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes flipping halfway
